First Hymn

In Christ Alone

A hymn of quiet confidence, declaring Christ as the believer’s hope, strength and song — from life’s first breath to the very end and beyond.

Keith Getty & Stuart Townend

Written in 2001 by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend, “In Christ Alone” moves through the whole gospel story in four verses — from Christ as our unshakeable foundation, through His birth, death and resurrection, to our eternal security in Him. It has since become one of the most sung hymns in modern congregations, which is why it’s often chosen for weddings as a declaration of hope that outlasts every season.

Second Hymn

God Give Us Christian Homes

A prayerful hymn asking God to build homes rooted in faith, love and His presence — where Christ is honoured in every season of family life.

B. B. McKinney · BH. 377

Composed by Baylus Benjamin McKinney and published in the mid-20th century, this hymn is a heartfelt prayer for God’s presence to dwell at the centre of every home. Verse by verse it asks for a household marked by truth, joy and love — turning the congregation’s blessing into a prayer over the new home Edi and James are building together.
